I am a post doctoral member of the group Mathematical Methods for Simulation led by G. Kanschat at the IWR Heidelberg. In 2016 I spent a three-months research stay at the Department of Computational and Applied Mathematics of Rice University in Houston (USA) working with M. Heinkenschloss.

I did my doctoral research in the Simulation & Optimization group of H. G. Bock at IWR and obtained the Dr. rer. nat. from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, Heidelberg University, in 2012. During my PhD study I also did research at the Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering, Warsaw University of Technology. Before that, I studied Mathematics at Darmstadt University of Technology and University of Salamanca (Spain). I completed the Diplom in 2007 with a thesis in the Nonlinear Optimization group of S. Ulbrich.
